Is Sparklean safe for pavé and micro-pavé engagement rings?

Yes. Pavé settings hold dozens of tiny diamonds in place with miniature beads of metal — ammonia degrades the metal over time and the stones drop. Sparklean is ammonia-free, pH-balanced, and biodegradable, so it cleans the residue around the stones without attacking the metal that holds them.

Can I use it on a vintage or antique diamond ring?

Yes, with caution. If the ring has visible solder repairs, a milgrain edge with patina you want to keep, or any colored stone inclusions (some old-cuts include emerald or sapphire accents), spray onto the brush first, not directly on the ring. This keeps liquid out of channels you don't want flooded.

Will it loosen the prongs?

No. The most common cause of loose prongs is ultrasonic over-cleaning, not solution. Sparklean has no abrasives and no harsh solvents. If your prongs are already worn from years of wear, no cleaner will save them — see a jeweler.
