Is it safe for the Cerachrom or aluminum bezel insert?

Sparklean is non-abrasive and pH-balanced. Cerachrom (modern ceramic) is chemically inert. Printed aluminium inserts on early Submariners and GMT-Masters are more delicate than ceramic and wear with handling regardless of what you clean them with — apply to a microfibre rather than the bezel, work gently, and test an inconspicuous spot first.

Can I use Sparklean while the watch is still on my wrist?

No — spray a microfibre or the SparkBrush, then wipe. Never spray directly onto the watch head with the crown unscrewed. Always confirm the crown is screwed down before any moisture contact.

Will it harm the lume?

No. Modern Chromalight and Super-LumiNova are encapsulated. Sparklean is water-based, with no aromatic solvents. Vintage radium or tritium lume should be left alone regardless — see a watchmaker.

Does it work on leather and rubber straps?

Leather: no, water-based cleaners darken leather over time — use a dedicated leather conditioner. Rubber/FKM (Oysterflex, Tudor rubber, Omega rubber): apply to a cloth and wipe to lift wrist oils, then dry the strap fully.

How often between professional services?

Daily wearer: monthly bracelet clean keeps the clasp working smoothly and prevents the dark grey "Rolex grime" that builds in the Oysterlock. A full service is still every 7-10 years per manufacturer guidance — Sparklean extends the interval where the watch looks new, not where it needs internal service.
